Hi I'm Ashley Possin

I grew up on a small farm in Minnesota. I am a farm girl, dancer, musician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey y'all here's a little bit about me! :) I was homeschooled and grew up on a farm. I love to laugh, smile, and always be on my feet. I love to dance and have been dancing since I was 8! My favorite types of dancing are Clogging, Country swing, swing and ballroom. I also love to play the piano and have been playing for 13 years. I hope to teach dance and music after I graduate from college. I have completed 3 years of college and I love every experience, which includes making new friends and gaining more knowledge. I'm a people person and love to be in company with friends. I love making others happy, the great outdoors, and playing sports. Especially "FRISBEE" I'm very competitive!:D Though the most "important" thing you should know about me is that I love the gospel and my Savior. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church of God and I am excited to say that I will be serving a mission for 18 months in Texas to share this truth. :) So yeah that's me and who I am! :D

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because in this church of his I have felt the power of the Savior's guidance leading me where I should go. I feel an overwhelming power in my soul of peace and love from the Savior just from being in his church. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He lives and He has sent us living apostles and a prophet President Thomas S. Monson to help lead and guide his church. The Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know this for I have read it and I have felt the power of its truthfulness by the Holy Ghost who is my constant companion. I have always known this church was the true church of God even when I was a little girl of 6 years. The Savior is ever watchful of all of God's children and he helped me to know that I am his daughter, he loves me, and has sent me here to earth to learn and become like him. This is my goal to continually progress to the end so that i'll be worthy to live with my God, and my Savior forever.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is by attending my church meetings, serving others, and accepting any church calling I receive and fulfilling it to the end. I have had many church callings throughout my life in the church. Some of them include; Teaching children and adults the lessons about the gospel and how to live righteously. I have also played the piano for my church meetings, as well as being a ward greeter. Outside of these church callings I have also helped out in my community by helping in our local neighborhood thrift store, raking friends yards, and helping with weather disasters. Doing these acts of service makes me happy and I feel good when I serve others. This has strengthened my faith, for I know and feel that heavenly father is pleased when I help others.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

Ashley Possin
The Holy Ghost is my constant companion. He has testified to me many times in my heart that Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, and that Heavenly Father is my God and they both love me. The Holy Ghost comforts me always day and night guiding me on the paths of righteousness. He does not lead me astray ever. I know that the Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead because he truly does testify of the truth of all things. He is my teacher and wants me to listen to him. I know when I follow his promptings I can feel a glow of warmth in me and it has brought me happiness. Show more Show less

Who was Joseph Smith?

Ashley Possin
Joseph Smith was a boy of 14 years in the 1820s who had faith in God and in the Bible. This faith gave him the courage to literally take to heart the scripture in James 1:5 and because he felt that he lacked the wisdom as to what church to join he went to a grove of trees to pray and asked God which church was the true church of God. The answer came and Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and they told him that they were all wrong. Joseph Smith was then prepared by heavenly messengers so that he'd be ready to restore the Church back to the Earth. He became a prophet and lead the church through the Lord's guidance.
