Hi I'm Carsten

I grew up in Washington State. I love to snowboard. My family is the most important thing to me. And Im a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies and interests include snowboarding, lifting weights, reading books, and playing/ watching football. I am a student at BYU Idaho but will be leaving on a 2 year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a Mormon; my parents, grandparents, and almost all of my family are Mormon so it is different for me than it would be for somebody who wasn't born in the church. But what I have found is that no matter your background we all have to become converted to the church and to follow Christ. Even though I have had the gospel my whole life I still had to accept it and become converted when I found out for myself that it is true. I do not stay in the church because I was raised in it, I stay because I have found out that it is true through careful study and prayer.

How I live my faith

I live in a small town so we are a very tight knit community and I am surrounded by alot of family. In church one of my responsibilities is to visit a couple of families in the ward each month; to make sure they are doing okay and to share a short lesson with them. I am blessed to have a lot of friends of the same faith as myself but we also have a lot of friends that are not and we love it when they come to our church activities with us and see what the church is like.
