Hi I'm Caleb

I'm a missionary in Texas. I can hold my breath for 91 seconds. Once I ate 21 bowls of cereal in one day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 7, I have 24 nieces and nephews ranging from age 14 years old to 10 weeks old. I really enjoy sports and up until this last year I participated on the varsity lacrosse and football teams. I spend quite a bit of time rollerblading down Provo Canyon. I love to look at all of the beautiful creations of the Savior. In November of my senior year in high school I had major back surgery, fused 10 of my vertebrae together. That was a huge trial in my life, but I worked through it and now 10 months later I am serving a mission.I serve in the Texas Lubbock Mission, Spanish speaking. I have never been so happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an amazing family, and I was blessed enough to have the gospel in my life the whole time. I never really thought about why I am a Mormon until just recently. I am a Mormon, not only because I was raised that way, but because I have felt the truthfulness for myself. A lot of my friends comment on how happy I always seem to be. I have also noticed that I have a lot better output on things than a lot of people. At first I just kinda blew it off, but after a while I was interested to know why I was so happy. After a lot of studying, studying people, my family,my friends, and the scriptures, I finally realized that my happiness came from the Gospel. Jesus Christ atoned not only for our sins, but also our afflictions. I find piece in knowing that whatever crap that I go through, Jesus knows how it is and he will always be there to comfort me. That is why I am a Mormon. I have found piece in the arms of our Savior, and I never want that feeling to go away. So my friends were right, I am always happy, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary. I spend 100% percent of my time serving my Lord and Savior and the people of Texas, trying to spread the joy I have found through the Gospel. I do my best to be a Christ-like example in all I do each day. I definitely have a lot of things to work on to get there, but each day I progress.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Caleb
No doubt!! The Bible is one of the best and most important books around! I try to read from my Bible each day. We also happen to believe in a little book called The Book of Mormon. It is also an extremely important book and also contains the word of God. The two books compliment each other so well. It is a dream. Show more Show less

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Caleb
What your question SHOULD be is "What blessings CAN"T I receive?" In the scriptures is literally says "every good thing comes from God" and that is through the Holy Ghost. So pretty much...if you live faithfully and always strive to be like Jesus Christ you can and WILL receive an endless amount of blessings. Show more Show less
