Hi I'm Corden Westover

I was raised in Wellsville Utah, I found my testimony at 19. I'm currently serving a mission in Arizona USA and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 21 years old, and love being me. I love playing video games, camping with family, acting, singing, hanging out with friends, learning about animals, and being in nature, especially the mountains. I want to get a PHD in Psychology and minor in Theater. I am a great fan of comedy in all clean forms. I love super heroes especially in the Marvel comics. I love large families and want one of my own some day. I am a great fan of history no matter the culture, the older the better.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have learned through the power of the Holy spirit that this church is true. I have taken the challenge given to us by Moroni, the last prophet of the Book of Mormon, to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and I received a witness from the holy spirit that this church is Gods kingdom once again restored on the earth, that Joseph Smith was his chosen Prophet to restore the same Church that Jesus Christ himself established during his mortal ministry and that the line of Prophets did not end with the death of Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying my scriptures daily so that I can answer the questions of others then bare my testimony to those who will listen. I try to strengthen my faith in the Savior each day and strive to be more like him. I also keep in touch with my Father in Heaven through prayer so I can continue to feel his spirit, especially in times of need. I study the teachings of both ancient and modern Prophets and pray to know if what I learn from them is true and if they are true and living Prophets like the scriptures tell us to.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Corden Westover
Jesus Christ taught that Baptism is an essential act required to return to God's kingdom in Heaven, but it must be done in the flesh (John 3:5). Sadly there are people who die without being able to receive this important ordinance by the proper Priesthood authority. So, according to Paul's instructions in 1st Corinthians 15, we the living act as proxy for the dead by being baptized for those who have gone before us so that they might have the chance to receive that essential ordinance so they can enter into the Kingdom of God even after they have passed on into the spirit world.
