Hi I'm Jess

I am a just married singer/dancer. I love my hectic life in London. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with my wonderful family in Surrey England. I knew from a young age that performing and entertaining was my passion so it was no surprise to anyone that I chose to study Musical Theatre. I have worked for the past couple of years travelling the world, singing and dancing on cruise ships. I saw many wonderful places and cultures; and it was on board this ship where I met my wonderful husband, Tom. Until I met Tom I had never heard of the Church of Latter Day Saints, and apart from a few dalliances with different religions, when I was a lot younger, I had given up on finding God. Throughout my relationship with Tom and the experiences I had learning more about the church I knew from the warm feeling I felt inside that I needed to find out more. It is only now that I realise it was the spirit guiding me towards the right path, the true church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because no other path I have even taken has made me so happy physically, emotionally and spiritually. When I discovered that our heavenly father knows each one of us personally it filled me with such joy. I know that The church of Latter Day Saints is the true church because the spirit tells me its so, I prayed to find out whether the Book of Mormon is true and I was given the answer. Yes it is true and so are the many blessings you will receive if you open your heart to the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through constantly striving to find out more about Gods plan for us on earth and by trying each day to draw closer to him. I do this by prayer, regular scripture study, attending church and listening to the words of our living prophet. I was baptised last year so I still feel at the very beginning of my spiritual journey. I still have a lot more to learn and I am enjoying every step of the way. I have just been called as ward missionary at the North London ward with my husband, which is extremely exciting as this is my first calling. I find that teaching and helping others is the best way to develop yourself.
