Hi I'm Michelle Santana

I am 1 out of 6 kids. I am half Colombian and American. I love to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old college student who always manages to stay busy. I was born with the passion for dance and whenever I get the opportunity I take it. I have a passion for kids and someday would love to enter a field that involves being around them. I currently work in watching kids before school and after school and have grown an immense love for them. When not at work or school I find time to see how I can serve my fellow beings. I love reaching out to others and seeing others smile because when others are happy I am happy. I am passionate about my health and taking care of my figure. I am a family person and always look forward to spending quality time with them. I am extremely dedicated to my religion and do my best each day to draw my self closer to my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised with this amazing gospel and it didn't come until I was a youth where I have learned to appreciate it. Having a mother who was raised in the church and father who was converted made things difficult and while I had my questions and doubts I was still drawn to the church. Growing up I always depended on my parents testimonies and sometimes wondered if I had one. There was a time in my life where I was present in church but not attentive. I have fallen away and lost hope and understanding of why I was there. Until I have lived more years and experienced things I was able to testify that I knew this was true. We all have trials in life and for me those are the times when I have relied on the gospel the most and it has blessed me tremendously in my life. I knew that growing up I needed to figure out the truth for myself. I prayed and read my scriptures and have felt the love of my Heavenly Father so many times. I've learned that when in doubt don't go unto men go to the Lord and seek for an answer. I have witnessed many things that have proven to me this church is true and it's where I belong. I continue to follow his gospel because I know someday when Christ comes again if I have done my part I will return with him and that is our main purpose here on this earth. We are all not perfect and we need his gospel to guide us and help us. This church brings happiness into my life and I see how it has brought joy into others as well. I am grateful for being born into this church and now all I can do is help others see the amazing truths from this gospel and invite others unto Christ and help them gain an understanding for the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a strong believer in that how we act and in what we do shows others who we are. I do my best each day to fulfill my duties with God. Outside of my school, work, and extra things I must do; I must accomplish my Church callings. We are not paid for the service we give in our church and right now I am a current teacher of the 4 year olds. Each week I ponder and pray and prepare my lesson to best of my ability. I look forward to each Sunday when I get to see these little kids learn from the beginning. I also go out and work with the missionaries and help introduce them to friends or acquaintances who have an interest in changing their lives. Each month I focus on a sister (as we call all female's in the church) whom I am assigned to and I see how I can serve her. I go out and teach each month a short lesson and check up on her to make sure her needs are met. I am daily striving to fulfill my challenge in reading all of the Book of Mormon so I am constantly reading my scriptures and preparing myself for my mission. I attend an Institute class once a week and it's where we learn about the scriptures and go into depth about the amazing prophets we've had. While I am preparing for my mission I attend a mission prep class weekly to help me become that missionary I want to be. While it may seem a lot of things I do they are so small and I have great joy in doing these things.
