Hi I'm Duncan

I'm a student in southern California. I love music, airsofting, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently getting an Associate's Degree in psychology at College Of The Canyons. I spend most of my time working in my Church callings and hanging out with my friends. I used to play video games a lot but not anymore. Nowadays I am more into exercising and health. I lift weights and go jogging around the block. My favorite hobby is definitely airsofting. It's not only fun but also a great workout!

Why I am a Mormon

I was in a very very bad spot in my life. I was majorly depressed and felt like I was destined for a horrible future. There were just so many things going wrong in my life and so many ways I was messing up everything. One night the Missionaries came to my door and I invited them in to talk. I was born a member but I hadn't gone to Church for more than 12 years! They told me about the Young Single Adult ward in my area. It sounded like the perfect opportunity to come back and hang out with some people my age. So I went back for the first time in a long time. It was incredible. Every single talk that was given cleared up all of my specific problems and worries right there that day. Everything just became so much brighter and happier. In just three hours I went from being depressed to feeling an overwhelming sense of joy and hope from the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I could almost feel their hands on my back, welcoming me home. I had never really read the Book Of Mormon seriously and spiritually before. I had stopped attending Church when I was very little because my parents divorced. So I read the entire book cover to cover, and I know without a doubt that it and the entire Church is true. Nothing else has ever been or continues to be a greater blessing to me.

How I live my faith

I have a lot of work that I do in the Church. I am a ward missionary, the Sacrament coordinator, family history consultant, and I teach Sunday school lessons! I love to do as much as I can to serve my fellow members and everyone around me. Being active and involved in the Church is what I am most happy doing. There has never been anything else in my life that I have ever devoted as much time and effort to. I have never been involved in any group or cause that has made me feel more fulfilled and happy. Most of what I do, specifically, is meeting with members and non-members and having spiritual discussions. We talk about The Gospel, share our interpretations and feelings, and come closer to Jesus Christ by serving each other.
