Hi I'm Joshua Smith

I grew up in South Jordan, Utah. I am preparing for a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love Ultimate Frisbee. I love to be in the outdoors. I spend as much time as I can with my friends while still leaving time for my family. I am the second oldest child of nine kids. I am a senior in high school and I am preparing to serve a mission in the Philippines.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church because of the way that it helps to shape my life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and I know this because everything that it teaches is meant to help us be happy and to be able to return to live with our Heavenly Father again some day. When I live the teachings of the Gospel I can feel the Spirit's influence in my life and I know that my brother Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father are proud of me and I can feel their love. I love the temple and I know that it is a place of refuge from the things of this world. I know that when we enter into the temple and perform sacred ordinances worthily we are blessed and our lives are enriched. I know that Joseph Smith was a chosen prophet of God and that he was led to restore this Gospel and this Church in these latter days so that the children of men may once again return to there Heavenly parents. In know that this church is led by Prophets and Apostles that are called of God to lead his church on this earth. I know this because the Spirit has testified to me of this truth. I know this church is true and is founded upon Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word and work of God. It was written for our day to help us to know how to live our lives so that we may return to the Heavens above. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in my ward of the young men, ages 16 to 18. I love to organize activities and some of my favorite activities that I have been to have involved the outdoors. As I prepare for my mission I try to live a life that I will live as a missionary. I read the scriptures every day and I read a talk from one of our church leaders every night.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Joshua Smith
