Hi I'm David Enrique Soto Zelaya

I will soon be studying for Medical School. I love soccer. I speak Spanish, English and am learning Japanese. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah raised in West Jordan, Utah. I graduated from Itineris Early College High School and graduated with an associates degree in 2013. My parents are from Nicaragua and Guatemala and taught me Spanish before I learned English. I speak Both English and Spanish fluently and am currently learning Japanese. I will soon be studying at the University of Utah to go to medical school. I love soccer and being with my friends and just having a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know of a surety that this is the true church of God. As I learn more about His teachings and His life through the scriptures and the words of the living prophets, I come to know Him, His justice, His teachings, His wisdom, His compassion, His mercy. I am a Mormon because I want to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. I have felt in a very personal and profound way the healing he can bring to a wounded soul, the fact that He suffered and died for everyone and for me, and that He lives. His compassion, justice and understanding are as real as the earth that we walk on and the air that we breath. I know that as we follow His gospel and serve others with all our strength he will always be with us and we can one day become like Him and be able to help everyone feel the joy of coming to know him.

How I live my faith

I have always enjoyed serving people. I have gone to a hospital close to where I live to volunteer and help the patients there get through what they are going through. I have served in a couple of leadership callings in the church and have gone out with the missionaries in my area to proselyte and talk about the church to others and helping them to grow their testimonies. I have many things to work on everyday to become better, but as I continue to put my trust in the Lord, I know that I can do anything that he would have me do.
