Hi I'm Elise

I love my family, music, and the great outdoors! I'm very smiley, bubbly, and enthusiastic! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a licensed cosmetologist with a passion for music and the outdoors. I love to play piano, sing, read, write, hike, ride horses, camp, fish, style hair, and so much more! I competed in Miss Utah and other local beauty pageants. I attended college as a Student Ambassador and loved it! I'm a pig farmer and I love the feeling after a hard days work. I'm the 4th child out of 5 and have the best family anyone could ask for!

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel has always been a major part in my life. Since birth my parents taught me the importance of living the gospel principles and it's teachings. I attended church, read my scriptures, prayed, and lived a normal life. It wasn't until my father passed away unexpectedly that the Gospel truly became my life line and support. My faith was tried and my testimony was tested. It was then that I realized that the Gospel was and is the only solution and source of peace and happiness in life. I know that it is only through the love of my Savior, Jesus Christ, that my family is eternal, and I will be with my father again. My testimony and knowledge of the truthfulness of His church grows deep in my heart and continues to grow everyday as I live the commandments and continually strive to live do what I know to be right. I know that Christ's church has been restored again through Joseph Smith. I know that Christ's teachings are continually being taught today by His devoted servant, President Thomas S. Monson. I know the scriptures to be true. The words although written many, many years ago, apply to my life personally today. I know that if I read them faithfully that I will be guided and instructed. I know I am a daughter of God, He knows me personally, and He lovingly watches over me. My membership of this church provides direction, purpose, happiness, and hope. I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I love this Gospel, I know it to be true, and I am eternally grateful for it!

How I live my faith

I was raised in a wonderful home with loving parents that taught me the importance of loving, living, and sharing the gospel everyday of my life. I live my faith by smiling everyday, by serving those around me, and by remembering, strengthening, and sharing my testimony. The scriptures are full of wonderful events in our history that help me grow everyday I read them. Prayer is a beautiful communication I have with my Heavenly Father that strengthens my faith and helps me move forward as I make decisions everyday. I attend church, institute, and the Temple. I'm currently serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission because my faith and the Gospel have played such an important role in my life. I want to help others come to the same happiness and peace I have felt and grown to love and cherish.
