Hi I'm Kari Halle

I grew up in Missouri. There are 14 people in my family. I'm going on a mission to Tucson Arizona. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm a 19 years old college kid! Right now I'm attending BYU-Idaho, and absolutely love it! However, I'm going to be leaving my college life behind for the next 18 months as I serve a mission to Tucson Arizona. It is so exciting to be able to serve the Lord. When I was in high school I was in theater and choir. Both of which I loved. In theater I loved the growth and learning that came with putting myself in someone else's shoes as I became different characters. Here I found myself able to keep and voice my standards and beliefs. I've always enjoyed singing and so having a class in school where all I did was sing was amazing. It was amazing to be able to sing clean, uplifting songs. Although I did not live with a lot of LDS members, the community where I lived had a lot of good God loving people. I really enjoyed the whole environment and being able to share my way of life with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my whole life, so I've always had the amazing opportunity of knowing about Christ. As I grew up and learned more about His ways, I learned to really get to know Him. It is amazing to know that I am a Daughter of a loving Heavenly Father. Knowing that has helped me get through so much. It has helped me to realize that I am important and worthwhile. Whenever I feel lonely or lost I know I can pray to God and He will give me comfort and direction. Jesus Christ took upon Him my sins and sorrows; He knows exactly what I am going through, and He can help me. Sometimes this help comes as I read their words: the scriptures. So many times, a passage will stand out to me and will fill me with peace. At times like these I know that Heavenly Father loves me. He cares about my life and my welfare. This gospel and this church has taught me all these things and so much more. It fills my life with joy and direction. I do know that this church is true. As I follow its teachings I know I will grow closer to my Heavenly Father. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Right now I am the President of a Mission Preparation class at church. Since I am about to go on a mission myself, I love being able to learn all I can about Christ and His teachings. This class is preparing me so much for being able to share my testimony with those I meet. It reminds me of the way I need to be living my life, and helps me to keep my standards. I love being able to serve and help in anyway I can in the church. Recently, I had the opportunity to help plan a church activity: skits based on Disney songs. It was fun planning and participating. I love how at church everyone can bring their talents and personalities together to create an environment full of learning and enjoyment.
