Hi I'm Faith Call

I have a special ring that says "Everything is possible when you have faith." It is true. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a daughter of Heavenly Father who loves me and I love him. I am also a daughter of two wonderful parents and a sister to 5 younger siblings. They bring happiness to my life. I love nature. Hiking, working on our little farm, and just looking at the view off my back deck - I am always in awe of the beauty Heavenly Father has blessed us with. Baking cookies is another thing I enjoy, and not just because I love to eat them. Chocolate chip cookies make other people happy and I love seeing other people happy. This is one reason I love my job. I work at a newly opened frozen yogurt shop. People have often asked me if I enjoy working there, and when I say yes, they say I can tell, because you are smiling so much. Smiles and happiness are truly contagious. These simple things come to mean so much more with the Gospel. I recognize that the little things are often just as important as the big things. "By small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Developing Christ-like love and interest in others is so important and is much easier when we are happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the gospel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. I love it and cannot imagine living without it. It has made me who I am today - and that is a happy young woman. I am so thankful for the uncomprehensible love my Heavenly Father and Savior have for me and everyone of us. The fact that Heavenly Father was willing to let his Son come to earth and suffer so much for us and that the Savior was humble to do so. I cannot wait until the day that I can return to live with them. That will be a wonderful reunion. This gospel helps me to know that I can return if I endure to the end. This gospel teaches me that I am able to repent of my daily sins. This gospel brings me true joy and teaches me that I have great potential. For this I am truly grateful, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my little branch I am the pianist and the a counselor in the Primary Presidency, which is the children's program. I truly enjoy both of these callings. I get to make beautiful music which truly invites the Spirit and spend time teaching and caring for humble and loving children. I love being involved in good things. I know it is good to do hard things. When I am "anxiously engaged in a good cause" my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ grow even more, because I have to lean on them even more for strength, guidance, and comfort. In the past year I was able to lead a project to get a playground for my community. This was an amazing experience. I worked with so many people in the community - my classmates, the Community Development Director, other church members, County government officials, and even a State representative. I truly believe that we are capable of accomplishing so many things if we will rely on my Father and Savior. I know that I am nothing without them and will be forever grateful for the blessing of living this life.

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

Faith Call
There is another testament of Jesus Christ known as the Book of Mormon. It testifies of Christ's ministries and influence in the ancient peoples of the American Continents. Because we believe and rely so heavily on this book to guide us, along with the Holy Bible, people often refer to us as Mormons. We refer to ourselves officially as Latter-Day Saints, but are not offended when others call us Mormons. Show more Show less
