Hi I'm Melanie

I grew up in a really small town. I'm serving in the Scotland/Ireland mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

While I was in high school, I enjoyed being part of the track and tennis team. I took state in tennis my senior year with my doubles partner. In track, I threw the javalin and shot-put. After graduation I decided to further my education by going to college. I have greatly enjoyed this experience. There have been some hard days and there have been good days, but its all been worth it. Its been good to live on my own and make my place in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known this church was true. I was born to parents and a family that were very active LDS members. They have always been strong examples in my life. I was once having a really bad day and nothing was going right. I received a letter from a missionary friend that taught me how much Heavenly Father is aware of his children. I went to my room and read the letter. In the letter the missionary talked about how he didn't know why he was meant to say something, but he felt like he should say it. What he wrote was exactly what I needed to hear. I know the Lord gave him the impression to say what he did just for me. The lord loves each and every one of us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true because of how it makes me feel when I read it. I love that book and would never give it up.

How I live my faith

I have served in many different callings in the church. While in Jr High and high school I had opportunities to be a youth leader. I loved being involved and helping my fellow youth. These were really growing times for me. I'm naturally a shy, quiet person but because of the responsibilities I had, I would go and talk to people. This was hard, but I got to where I really liked it.
