Hi I'm Chelsea

I love fishing and anything outdoors. I love learning. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a college student and I love learning new things every day. When I am not learning something new, I feel stagnant. I am constantly seeking to progress and become better. I love fishing, boating and hiking. Being outside in nature is when I am the happiest. I absolutely love teaching.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was baptized at 8 years old. A few years ago I wanted to make sure that being a member of the church was still the right thing for me. I didn't want to devote my life to something halfheartedly. I wanted truth and clarity and I didn't want to follow anything blindly. Essentially I wanted complete control over what I would do with my life and how I would live my life. I started researching. I looked at other religions and I looked at my own. I could not find anything better than what I already had. I decided that I'd stay on the path that I was already on. Then I started praying to know if the path I was taking in life was the right one. I wanted to be completely sure. I promised Heavenly Father that if I felt at peace with my decision, I would never turn away again. I felt an incredible amount of peace. I have never been more sure of any decision in my life. I made the decision right then and there that I would live the standards of this church completely and that I would remain faithful forever. I knew that the doctrine was sound and good. I've spent a lot of time studying the teachings of the church and praying to know for myself if they are true. Each time, I feel an incredible amount of peace come over me. As a member of the mormon church, I strive to follow Jesus Christ and his example. As I have worked on emulating some of his qualities such as service and love, I have felt such joy. Nothing has made me more happy or made me feel more fulfilled in my life than living the standards laid out by my church. I know that God lives. He is our father and is so merciful and kind. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I know that there are still prophets on the earth today and they bring us the word of God. I know that Jesus Christ died to make it possible for us to return to live with God forever. This is the true church. I live it and I love it more than anything else in the world.

How I live my faith

I really love to volunteer and to serve others. I try to take every opportunity to serve because I hope that if I had a need, someone would do the same for me. Being a member of the mormon church has given me so many opportunities to serve those in my community and in my church. Because I grew up in this church, I grew up serving others from a young age.
