Hi I'm Laura

I'm a bookworm, cheesecake lover, and an enthusiastic learner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate loving this time of my life and all the decisions that come along with it. I have chosen to serve a mission and have been assigned to labor in Oklahoma beginning December 2013. I have a huge extended family that I adore and will miss, but I desire to bring others to the Gospel that they might have the enormous blessing of an Eternal Family that I enjoy. I am passionate about literature, dinosaurs, Rube Goldberg machines, museums, and dessert. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and am grateful for all of the blessings I enjoy as a result of my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I definitely have to credit my amazing parents for being the best examples and foundation I could ask for. However, I have remained a member because I have learned for myself of the happiness, peace, and strength that come from learning and living the principles set out by the Savior, restored in their fullness by the prophet Joseph Smith. I am a member because I have found indescribable comfort in the words of the scriptures and living prophets, because I have a testimony built on the words of sacred hymns, and because I can see the wisdom in the Lord's way. I have received a personal and understood witness from the Holy Ghost about the truthfulness of the principles and organization of this church, and I am determined to live a life of faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the little things. I pray and study the scriptures daily. I attend church services weekly. I try every day to be a good example and a Christlike friend; and I seek to follow the direction of the Prophet and other Church Leaders.
