Hi I'm Christian

I have grown up in the LDS faith. I am preparing to serve a mission in Uruguay and love this Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in the suburbs in an LDS family that I love very much. I love the musical world! I love to play the piano, guitar, ukelele, and most importantly I love to sing! I'm also a climber. I love to rock climb, tree climb, really anything that will give a new perspective of the world around me. I enjoy literature! I read a lot of books, poetry, and essays. I think it is important for me to say that I used to hate reading. I thought is was waste of precious. I was dead wrong! Reading and writing open a new world to the imagination and in the articulation of my personage. With that said, I love to be active too. I am a fitness freak! I love to find new ways to better take care of my body. I was never an athlete in school (more of a choir geek) but I love to go mountain biking, running and anything else that is actively fun. I have learned the art of being happy even in hard times but I also have a very rational mind and staying happy can be very difficult on those trialling days. I like to think of myself as an optimist with realistic notions. I am a brother, a son, and a friend. I try to lift the spirits of those around me and am grateful for those people who are always there to lift mine. I love my religion and my Father in heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it make sense to me. I was born and developed a very logical mind. This gospel makes sense to me because of the love it teaches me. Even though I have grown up in a LDS family I haven't always believed in the Church. I am happy to say that I now believe in it without a shadow of doubt. The gospel is infinite and the principles taught are always enlightening my mind. I know that Christ is the son of God and atoned for our sins. I know that the true gospel of Christ was restored by the prophet Joseph Smith and that it was done through the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon along with the Bible directs us in our lives and helps us to understand God's will. I believe that God communicates with us through pray and revelation comes from all uplifting things. I know that prophet Thomas S. Monson is called of God and gives the church direction through the revelation he receives from God. I love this gospel! I love my family and understand how important the family is in the Heavenly Fathers plan for all of us.

How I live my faith

How I live my Faith? Day to day. I try to be involved with the community inside the church and outside of it. I am currently the choir director of my ward and love filling the chapel full of music! I am also a home teacher where I visit, with my companion, some of the members our ward family. We talk with them of the gospel and of our savior Jesus Christ. I enjoy that calling the most because of how much I learn when I am teaching others of Christ and his example. I visit the Food bank as often as I can where they provide food with people in the community who are in need of it. I have be given the gift of music so often I find myself going to rest homes, hospitals, and homeless shelters to sing and play for them. Specifically I sang many times with a group of my friends at the nearby Huntsman Cancer center going from room to room uplifting the hearts of those, who most of the time, are on their death bed. Service is my faith and my religion. I share that with anyone who wants to hear.
