Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Riverton, am the middle child, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of 7, with 3 older brothers, 2 younger brothers, and a sweet little sister. I love to read, play the piano, do puzzles, and play board games. I just returned home from an LDS mission and am now returning to my studies at BYU. I am going in to Applied and Computational Mathematics and can't wait to learn more.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this Church is true. I grew up in the Church and have a very active family, but most importantly I have learned for myself that my Savior, Jesus Christ, died for me and was resurrected. I know that He understands my pains, and can help me through all my trials. I know that He understands me as an individual and made it possible for me to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that my Father in heaven loves me and knows me by name. He knows my strengthens and how to strengthen my weaknesses. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church and the true church on the earth today. I know that God's prophet, Thomas S. Monson, leads and guides the church through revelation and that I too can receive personal revelation. I know that through the power and authority of God Joseph Smith restored Christ's Church to the earth and truly saw God, the Father, and His son, Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that this Church brings true happiness and peace that can last forever to all those who believe and live its teachings. I know that I will live with my family forever and that death is not the end. I know that if I live worthily I will be able to be sealed to my future family to live with them forever in the presents of my loving Heavenly Father. I know that through my Savior all things are possible. I know this all to be true and cannot wait to share it with others, not only by serving a mission, but also by always living what I know.

How I live my faith

My faith effects ever aspect of my life, as I strive to live my faith in everything I do. Whether it be by doing all the little things such as prayer and scripture study to striving to become more Christlike and sacrificing what I have for others, I strive to do all I can for my Savior. I live my faith by striving to become the best person I can, the person that God wants me to become, and by sharing my faith through the way I live.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Michelle
Families are very important because they create an atmosphere in which we can learn, grow, and experience life. We learn to love, serve, and follow Christ. They share our joys and sorrows and support us in all we do. The teach us truth and righteousness and provide for us. Although we do not choose the conditions of our birth, we can choose to make our families stronger and happier. Individuals can return to the presence of God with their families and be united with their family for all time and eternity. I am so grateful for my family and know that my life has been blessed because of all that I have learned from my parents and siblings. Show more Show less
