Hi I'm Elizabeth!

Called to serve as a missionary to Chile Santiago, a BYU student, and I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently in my first year at college attending Brigham Young University. I enjoy music and playing the piano, it is so beautiful! I have one younger brother. I want to be a Speech Pathologist one day and work with children in elementary schools. My favorite color is orange, almost everything in my room is orange! I collect small elephants, and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I was just called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Chile Santiago South mission and I leave in May to serve for 18 months!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a testimony of this church. Nothing brings me greater joy than learning about my Savior Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I cannot describe fully the overwhelming feeling I had in my heart when I asked God for myself to know if it was true after the first time I read it. I have felt of God's love for me. As I attend my church meetings I feel the Spirit. I know my Savior loves me, and that He atoned for my sins, so that I may repent and live with Him forever. I am so grateful for the church and the standards it sets for me as a youth, so that I may be an example to my friends. Being a member of this church truly makes me happy and I know that it is Christ's church on this earth today.

How I live my faith

Being a member of this church allows me to serve others, and teaches the importance of service. I can be an example of my friends, and always choose the right, no matter who is watching. I currently serve playing the piano at church to help bring a positive atmosphere to the meeting.

What is the First Vision?

Elizabeth!
The First Vision was the restoration of God's church on the earth today. Joseph Smith, a young boy, was confused as to which church was true. He read in James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Joseph took the heed of this scripture and in the year of 1820 went and prayed in a grove of trees. In his own words, he described his experience. “When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” I know that Joseph Smith truly did see the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and that He restored His church on the earth today. Show more Show less
