Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a veterinary technology student, a wife, a sculptor, a pianist, an avid reader, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love God's creations especially animals. Because of this, I am studying to become a veterinary technician. I am married to a wonderful man who is very supportive of my decision to graduate from college. In my spare time I love to read, play the piano, draw, and sculpt. I believe that this life is a time for us to improve and learn, and I enjoy studying and sharing my talents with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been taught the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ since I was very young. Throughout my life I have had many opportunities to try and test the gospel principles and learn for myself that they are true. As I actively follow and apply principles such as prayer, scripture study, keeping the Sabbath Day holy, and honoring my parents, I see the blessings associated with each principle come into my life and my determination to remain faithful to the Lord grows stronger. There is a great feeling of peace and happiness that comes into my life when I am following the teachings of Christ. I know that He loves me. I know that he has a plan for my life and that through his spirit I can be guided and directed on the path that I should follow. I have seen his hand so many times in my life through answers to prayers, and other ways, and I know that he is always near.

How I live my faith

I teach a women's class in my ward (congregation) once a month. I love the opportunities to prepare lessons and discussions for those Sundays. I learn so much from the other women in the class, that I often come away from a lesson as more of a student. I also visit and share spiritual messages with two women on a regular basis. Another sister in the ward comes with me and we are all edified and uplifted together. As I study the scriptures with these women, on my own, or with my husband, I find that I draw closer to the Lord and am better prepared to serve him.
