Hi I'm Lauree

I was born and raised in Utah. I'm a student, a sister, a friend, a daughter. I am a Mormon.

About Me

About me? I always find that a hard question to answer. But for starters I'm a little weird, I tend to be a wee bit unconventional, I enjoy abstract thoughts and sharing said abstract thoughts. That aside, I really like photography, hearing children laugh, watching a good movie, seeing new places and meeting new people, eating gummy bears, and I particularly like to go on a good hike. I am the oldest of three; I have two little brothers who are almost taller than me so the "little" part is more of a title rather than a description. Currently I'm studying Elementary Education, but the more I think about it the more I want to study Child Psychology.

Why I am a Mormon

There is a lot of doubt and fear that can come when you cannot see your future. When I was younger I suffered from some major self image problems. I couldn't look in a mirror without extremely distorted perception. After years of feeling like I was good for nothing, I reached a point where I hated feeling so awful, I knew something had to change. Growing up I was taught by my Sunday school teachers and my parents that I was a child of God and that He loved and cared about me. It wasn't till I had reached that horrible low point that it hit me, if my Heavenly Father, perfect and all knowing, loved me then there must be something good in me. From there the healing started. It was slow but steady, and as I grew I saw more and more the love my Savior has for me, personally. I may be small in the whole scheme of things but even so I am a child of the living God, who knows me, knows my struggles, sees the strengths even the ones that I don't know I have, my Father who sent His only Begotten Son to die for me just so I could be able to return to His presence. I came to know that I was of worth. I was His daughter. The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the biggest most precious blessing I could ever have, I am so grateful for The Book of Mormon and the guidance I receive when I read it. I am so grateful for the knowledge of the Savior and His atoning sacrifice, I am so grateful for the wonderful opportunity I have to be a missionary and share the gospel to His children.

How I live my faith

Everyday I try to live my faith by choosing to be happy, trying my best to lift others up, and constantly trying to become better . By reading the scriptures, praying, and attending my church meetings I know that it shows the Lord that I am a willing servant and that I am certainly not perfect but that I am trying to follow His teachings.
