Hi I'm Renae

I grew up on a pumpkin patch. I'm a BYU sports fan. I am serving a mission in the Japan Tokyo South mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college right now and am majoring in accounting. I love watching movies and spending time with my family. I played basketball and volleyball in high school and currently love supporting my school's teams. In high school I attend Girl's State sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and my experiences there have guided many of my decisions in life. I was a page in the Idaho State Senate where I helped Idaho's Senators with errands and organization.

Why I am a Mormon

The fully restored gospel of Jesus Christ has made me the best version of myself I could possibly be. It is through the atonement of my Savior that I know I can return to God, my Heavenly Father, and live an eternal life. Not only will I live with God, I will live with my Earthly family as well because through the sacred ordinances in the temple our family ties are sealed for eternity. This knowledge gives me hope to live each day faithfully and strive to live as Christ might. Through Joseph Smith, Christ has restored His church upon the earth and this is His church. I know that God speaks to us and gives us modern revelation through prophets and I sustain President Thomas S. Monson as our prophet today. It is through the gospel that I have eternal perspective and consequently I am the happiest that way.

How I live my faith

I am a Mormon and as such I spend a lot of time participating in church functions. I visit women in my church and share uplifting messages and catch up on each others' lives. I am currently serving as a counselor for the women's organization. In this calling I make sure the needs of each woman in our area are met and I help the president with anything she might need. In the past I served in children's organization where I taught ages 4-8 basic gospel principles. Working with them really helped me realize Christ's love for little children.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

The Book of Mormon was written for our generation. As a testament of our Savior Jesus Christ, we are brought closer to him as we prayerfully study it. The Book of Mormon answers the questions of the soul, and as we turn our hearts to our Heavenly Father and search for answers to our hearts' questions, we will find them in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon and Bible work together to teach us how to return to our loving Heavenly Father. It is only through coming unto Christ and following his example that we can receive eternal life. The scriptures teach us how we can do this, and the blessings that follow when we do. Show more Show less
