Hi I'm Spencer

I grew up in Southern Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy mountain biking along trails near my home. The faster I can go, the better. I love taking things apart and trying to re-build them. Most of the time I can get it back together. I look forward to attending college to study engineering after returning from my LDS mission. I am excited to have the opportunity to serve in the Korea Seoul Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years-old, I was baptized by my Dad. I don't remember much about the actual baptism, but I do remember the feeling I experienced after my baptism. It was one of love and peace. Since that moment, I have had many, many experiences when I have felt of the love God has for me. Each day as I sit to study out of the Book of Mormon or the Bible, I feel His love. There have been times when I have been going through a rough spot in my life, or I have a question I need answered (like where I should go to college). Whenever these arise, I pray. Every time, without fail, I feel His love for me and receive an answer. Hardly ever are these answers flat out "Go to this college," but more of very personal, peaceful feelings. Through these experiences, I know that God has a plan for each and every one of us, His children. But it is our job to ask Him what he would have us do. More than likely we won't learn His will for us all at once, but rather gradually, as we need it. I know that the Savior, Jesus Christ, suffered on the cross and in the Garden of Gethsemane to atone for every sin and every feeling that we have. It is through Him that we can all return to live Him and our Heavenly Father again. I testify that as we read the Book of Mormon, we will learn more of what our purpose on earth is. It builds us up when we are down, and gives us the strength we need to make it through our trials.

How I live my faith

Currently, I am living my faith by being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am serving in the Korea Seoul Mission. It is one of the biggest blessings I have ever had in my life. Each day I think about what I can do to become more like the Savior. And each day I grow in my love for the Savior. As I strive to think of Him and what He would do in situations, I am amazed at what I can learn from Him. I know through Him all things are possible.
