Hi I'm Tanner Perry

A pre-dental student, a tennis player, an avid traveler, and a humanitarian.

About Me

I’m in the process of making my dream vocation a reality. I'm a college undergraduate studying to get in to dental school. When I'm not in the library, I enjoy playing tennis and volleyball and spending time with friends and family. I’m a people person--I love to plan events and little parties, go out to eat, see movies, and go dancing. Since finances and time are short these days I don’t travel much, but to satisfy that desire I watch travel shows. I grew up in a family with only sisters; I have always wanted a brother.

Why I am a Mormon

Life is often hard and things happen we wish wouldn't. The gospel of Jesus Christ is what has helped me get through my darkest times. I believe that Jesus Christ suffered, died, and now lives for me. It is through Jesus Christ that I know we have the ability to change who we are and become better. I have always felt and innate sense that I could do or be better something better and the Gospel has helped my do that. This change is occurring in me and it can and will occur in you. It is through the teachings of Jesus Christ that I have found lasting peace and happiness. The joy and peace that I receive through being a Mormon are feelings I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. In the church, I have learned that families can be together forever. I want to live with those I love for eternity. I cannot imagine Heaven without being surround with my family members. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me peace because I know I will have the opportunity to see my family members that have already passed on again.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day through doing things that help me live closer to God. These things aren’t anything big just small decisions that help me feel closer to our Heavenly father. I pray and read the Scriptures. I try to treat others with love and respect and look for opportunities to serve those around me. In the church, I teach and lead a group of men around the ages of 20-29. I help these guys learn and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I organize activities where we can all get together as friends and establish unity and brotherhood between one another.
