Hi I'm Dave

An English Kid who loves music and is currently serving a mission in Hong Kong China. If you hadn't guessed, I'm A Mormon

About Me

I'm the second oldest of 6. The other 5 are all girls (not including my 'adopted sister'). I grew up with the church as part of my life, but that never meant my life was easier than anyone elses'. Through all the problems and struggles I've had, I may not always have dealt with them as best I could, but I'm stronger for them. Also.... I love music, almost as much as I love my family and my Saviour.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I looked for the answers. And I found them in the church of Jesus Christ of Later Days Saints and my scriptures. I lost a close friend a few years ago to car accident. I didn't know how to cope with it. One day, in the middle of my exams, about a week after she passed away, I had a feeling I needed to get out of the house and to take my scriptures with me. So I grabbed them and went down to the beach for a few hours. By the end, I had no doubts about the gospel. I knew it was what I wanted and that because of my faith I would have the opportunity to be with my family forever. And more I knew I would see her again. But I regretted I hadn't told her about the church. In that moment I committed myself to serving a mission and living what i know to be true. I am now doing just that.

How I live my faith

I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints. I've served in various capacities in my home wards back in England, but this is my calling now, to be a representative of Jesus Christ in Hong Kong. It hasn't been and wont be simple or easy. But I try to get through each day as best I can. It doesn't always go according to plan, but when things go wrong, I trust in my Saviour to help me make it to the other side. So I try to live my life a way my Saviour, my parents and I myself would be proud of.
