Hi I'm Jean

I grew up with the nuns during World War II. I had many trials in my life before the missionaries came to my door.

About Me

I grew up with the nuns during World War II until the age of 7. I moved to be with my father and put into another convent until I was 17. We were not taught enough about the salvation of Jesus Christ, we did not know it existed. I went to many churches near where I lived so long as they taught about Jesus. I went through many trials in my life before the missionaries knocked on my door and said we have another testament of Jesus Christ. I asked them about this other testament and they said there was a prophet who lived in Israel and he was told to leave by the heavenly father and he obeyed. I was told by the spirit I had to obey. Through my patriarchal blessing I found out that my family were of Jewish descent and enjoy doing work for them at the Temple.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I have come to learn that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. I enjoy the company of other church members and look forward to Sundays when I can feel the spirit and draw nearer to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have learned to relay on my Heavenly Father during difficult times and I strive to obey his commandments. I am the ward Chorister at the London North Ward. Music helps me feel the spirit and the words touch my heart. SOmetimes when I am standing in front of the congregation the spirit I feel is in abundance.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Of course not. I try to help those who allow me to help. We are not exclusive, we serve others, even those who are not members of our faith. Show more Show less
