Hi I'm Natasha

I'm a classical pianist, I'm the youngest of seven children, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old, and I'm studying classical music at Leeds college of music. I've loved music all my life, and started playing the violin when I was 6 years old. My main love of music is playing and writing music for the piano. I love going to institute, and I feel so blessed to have such an incredible institute programme where I live.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because one day, I got down on my knees and I asked Heavenly Father whether the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church. A very calming yet extremely powerful thought came to mind: "You already know. You've always known." I have always felt happiest when I am following the teachings of the church by staying away from situations and places where the spirit will not be, and instead doing the things which will allow me to feel the spirit at all times and in all places. I feel the love of my Saviour and Heavenly Father every day by praying and reading the scriptures. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a Christ centred church. Being a member of it has brought be close to him, and has made me understand that without his existence, our lives would have no meaning. Being a mormon isn't just a religion, it's a lifestyle. And it's a lifestyle that I love, and wouldn't change for anything.

How I live my faith

As my parents have been members of the church since they were young, I grew up going to church with them every week. I got baptized when I was 8, and have always had a great love of the gospel. My current calling is the ward young single adult representative. This calling has grown my testimony as I have attended as many YSA meetings and activities as possible. I love being surrounded by other members my age, and I have felt the spirit as I have looked out for my fellow YSA. I am also currently the secretary on the instute programme. This means I have become more involved in going to institute and inviting others to make it a priority in their lives. As a result of that I have drawn closer to Jesus Christ as I have learnt more about him, his life, and his inciredible sacrifice. I try follow promptings of the spirit in important decisions I have to make and also in my every day life. I know that through doing this I am doing what Heavenly Father and the saviour want me to do, and that through following promptings of the spirit in serving others, their prayers will be answered.
