Hi I'm Betty

I grew up in California. I have a wondeful husband and 8 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I homeschooled my children for over 20 years. I have worked with the elderly and now am working at a high school in the Special Education department. My youngest child has Asperger's which has presented challenges but taught me much. I am returning to school in hopes of teaching others like my child. I love to travel and enjoy the beauties of nature.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to grow up in the church and take part in all it had to offer. I have felt the Spirit confirm to me over and over again the truthfulness of the gospel. I am so grateful to know God's plan. When my loved ones have died it has been such a comfort for me to know that there is a life after this one and that we will have our bodies restored to their perfect form. I love to study the scriptures and receive the guidance and the peace they give me. The gospel brings me great joy!

How I live my faith

I have worked with the children and youth for the past few years at church. I love any opportunity to serve. I love learning from others. I love the scriptures and am so grateful to know my Savior and to feel his love in my life.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes, isn't that great? Our loving Father and His Son are no respector of persons. They love all of us. Jesus Chrsit came to the Americas and taught the people here the same things he taught in Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon is a record of the people on this continent and Christ's teachings to them. I love this book and know that it is the word of God. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That He was born in the flesh and that He lived a perfect life. We believe He suffered for our sins and heartaches and died for us and was resurrected so that all mankind will be resurrected. We believe he will return to the earth again. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

First you need to learn about the gospel and what is expected of you as a follower of Christ. You must know His teachings. You must pray to get a witness from the Holy Ghost of the truths you are taught. Then when you are ready to make the commitment to follow our Savior and join His Church you will be baptized by immersion. Ask the missionaries! Show more Show less
