Hi I'm Micah Adams

I am an aspiring Olympian runner, I love learning, I love a challenge and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am from Washington State, but I currently live in Idaho going to school at Brigham Young University Idaho. I love to learn about exercise and physiology of the body. I love to run, play all sports and think of new ideas that no one has thought of before. I grew up with four siblings and absolutely loved always having someone around. I find it fascinating to learn truths about all aspects of life, especially in relation to our purpose as people and how our character is defined and developed. A bulk of my current aspiration is to run professionally and to try and make it to the Olympics in the 10,000m or marathon. I try to think of each day as truly a blessing to be alive at such a great time in the history of the world and each day is an opportunity to give all i have to making the world a better place for people to live in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have come to believe, and now know, that Jesus Christ himself established this church and continues directing it currently. This means to me that the teachings I receive are true and are approved of by God. The truth of God's character and His plan for us as his children is found in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know these things to be true for a few simple, but profound reasons. I have personally sought after and inquired of God as to what is true. Through prayer and through special experiences in my life, God has communicated to me and shown me that this Church is true and is His church. To add to that, I have lived the commandments of God, I have sought to follow the teachings of Jesus and I have seen blessings in my life come from doing so. These blessings are not coincidences that happened to have occurred when I needed them. I believed God's promises of blessings if we are obedient and I know personally that his teachings and commandments are real and true because I have personally experienced them. I continue to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because in it I feel correct. I feel God guiding me and uplifting me. I experience his wisdom and his love as he leads me, uplifts me and reteaches me the truths of life and eternity and I love it! I know God lives, I know that Jesus Christ can and will help all of us to stop doing bad things and will also empower us to do great things. I know families are central to God's plan and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's true church on the earth, here to bless everyone who desires to partake of it's blessings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by silently striving to keep all of God's commandments. I try to not make it loudly or visibly apparent that I strive to follow God and keep his commandments. Daily I strive to be more genuine with people and to do good because my character demands it, not because others think more of me. I strive to share meaningful lessons that I learn with those around me in an attempt to help enrich their lives. I try to listen to those going through hard experiences and if it feels right i try and give them words of advice or comfort, but sometimes i just listen. I strive to attend church each Sunday so that I can specifically take a day to review my efforts and my integrity and if their are holes and errors I commit to myself and to God to do better. I am trying to learn how to love all those around me and treat them with love. Lastly, I live my faith by relying completely on Jesus Christ for strength, encouragement and an elevated vision as i go from day to day striving to be the best person I, with God's help, can be.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Micah Adams
We believe that families are the basic and ordained unit of life. Families are meant to be a happy thing and we are placed in families because that's how God wants us to live. It is true that some family situations are hard and trying, but God promises that as we obey his commandments and try our hardest, we will be able to live with God and our family forever in happiness. Families are where we can create an environment of protection and peace for one another and can build one another's faith within our family. I know that full effort and dedication to family life yields the most happiness and satisfaction with life. Show more Show less
