Hi I'm Carolyn

I love camping and swing dancing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favourite place is my family's forest surrounded cabin. I love Canada. I enjoy camping every summer, and just being outdoors. I love hanging out with my family. I'm number 6 out of 7. My cousin and I decided that there are four things everyone should do more often; sing, laugh, smile and dance. (Sometimes we accomplish all of them at once:) I am homeschooled. I enjoy reading novels and studying church doctrine.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God knows and loves me personally. My parents raised all their children going to church every Sunday. I have always believed in God. Both my parents joined the church when they were in their teens, so my siblings and parents are the only ones in my family who are Mormon. I am surrounded by people of different faiths. One time when I was talking about religion with a friend of a different faith he asked me some questions that made me question my faith. For a while I questioned different gospel principles, but the one thing I didn't question is the reality of God. I have felt peace in my heart, a feeling of warmth and love. I know that feeling came from God. It was that faith in God that helped me answer those questions. Those answers and my faith, is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, waking up at 6 in the morning to study the New Testament and daily reading scripture. I enjoy studying the gospel on my own as well as at church. On occasion I talk in front of the congregation or at a devotional. I pray to God, our Father in heaven, who is there. I can feel his love, and he does answer my prayers. I try to recognise the Holy Spirit's influence in my life. I try to do the things in life that are in accordance with the Father's will, and that will bring me eternal joy.
