Hi I'm Joseph

My two homes growing up were North Carolina and Utah. I like playing guitar and living the Gospel.

About Me

I am In the MTC preparing for a mission to Retalhuleu Guatemala. I am very excited for the opportunity, and I can not wait to serve. I hope that through my diligence I can help others to come unto Christ. For the last year I have been attending BYU. That was a great experience and I learned a lot. I made many friends who I hope I can stay in touch with for life. I grew up in a family with 7 kids. I am number 6. I have so much love for my family and I am glad I can be with them forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had a fairly strong testimony of the church for as long as I can remember. I guess my parents just raised me right. I feel the spirit strongly every time I earnestly pray or read the scriptures, and i just know that it has to be true. There have been times in my life that certain things did not make sense in my head, but I knew that they were true in my heart, so I prayed for guidance and knowledge. I quickly understood the truth after a little study. I am a Mormon because I know that it is true and it makes me happy to know that there will be life after this one. I cannot wait to help other to come unto Christ so that they can have what I have.

How I live my faith

As I am just got home from BYU and I am very soon leaving on my mission, I do not currently have a calling in my home ward. I have, however, had several callings over the years. For the past year I was serving as the elders quorum secretary in my single's ward. That was a great experience. I had a great time helping people to get their home teaching done and attending the presidency meetings. I have a very strong testimony of home teaching. I have had a lot of great experiences through this institution. I know that home teaching, and any church calling, will always give you back what you put into it and more.
