Hi I'm Ziggy Pearce

I am a Mormon. I live in Paignton, England, I'm a midwife. I'm married to Philip & have two lovely children.

About Me

I am a really out going person, I love meeting & being with people. I have various hobbies & interestes such as Taiko Drum playing, I belong to two groups (big Japanese drums, they're great fun to play) & riding motorbikes. I have done martial art training & have a First Dan in Shotokan Karate. I have just started doing aqua aerobics which is really great fun. I love the simple things in life like being with my husband & our families who live all over the UK. I love the countryside & the seaside & I'm fortunate enough to live near both, there is nothing nicer than going for a lovely walk along the seaside or taking in the beautiful scenery of Dartmoor. It can be said that I have a passion for chocolate!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always believed in God & Jesus Christ. For me Christianity is a way of life, helping me to be a better person, wife & mother. I have a real sense of who I am & what I want from life. Jesus Christ gave me a perfect model to follow & although I know that I am not perfect, I have a perfect guide on how to live & remain kind to others. Being a Mormon has given me a purpose in life, I know that I am loved by God, or my Heavenly Father & his son Jesus Christ. I know that I can pray for guidance & help with anything in my life & get answers to prayers. Living life as a Mormon also means that I follow the counsel that is given in the Bible & the Book of Mormon. I believe in keeping my body free from alcohol, cigarettes & other addictive habits, therefore I feel really healthy. I can testify that there is a Heavenly Father who loves me, that he sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to die for me & all mankind. I know that the Bible & the Book of Mormon are true. I am grateful that I have the Gospel in my life & this gives me true meaning to my life & a fantastic future.

How I live my faith

I am lucky enough to live 2 miles away from my chapel, within the church I help with looking after the physical & spiritual wellfare of the women. I help organise activities for the women in the church every month, we do a variety of things such as workshops on art & craft, singing, budgeting, reflexology, campfire & 'Dip & Dine' to mention a few. Last December my husband & I help organise our Chapel's first Panto 'Aladdin' which was a great success & lots of fun.
