Hi I'm Beaux Yenchik

I'm am born and bred in Salt Lake City. A huge sport's fanatic! I am a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies all revolve around sports, my friends and my family. I was going to University before I was called to serve a mission for the Church in England even though I return in a few short months. I am one of the biggest fans of golf that you will ever meet. I watch golf, I play golf, and I used to work at a golf course. Though at the same time, you can't beat a good old college American football game on a Saturday. My favorite things to do with friends are to go to movies and road trips. In this life, I believe that out of the billions of people on this planet you only meet a handful of people and from those handful of people, friendships were made in heaven. If it weren't for my friends, who knows where I would be and what I would be doing. My family is probably my most important thing to me in my life. They love me and have taught me the things that I have needed to know to grow into the person that I am now. My belief in God and in Christ were started in my family by my parents teaching me the Gospel and instilling in my in an early age a belief and faith in God and Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this Church has been able to answer the questions of where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going after this life? I think that every human being at one point or another will ask themselves these three questions at some point or another in their lives. To me, being able to know the answers to these questions brings a peace into my life and a comfort to know that I don't need to worry about life. I know what the process is and the things that I need to do. It also helps me to know who I am as an individual and who I can become. Being a child of God has special meaning. It means that God loves us and that He knows us as well. What a brilliant thought to be able to know that God knows what is best and that He is aware of the world around me and the things that will protect and guide me in this life. I was born in this Church, but just as everyone in their lives need to come to know for themselves if what they believe is true, it came to me as well. I searched for the answers because I had a period of time where I wasn't sure of what life was all about, or who I was. I wasn't really happy with where things were at in this life. I thought that the things that I was doing were going to bring me that happiness that I had felt before. I went a away from those things that I believed, but after a while noticed that that peace in my life was not there. I wasn't truly happy and was always down in despair. As I started reading my scriptures, saying my prayers and actually cared about going to church, that happiness came back into my life. My testimony came from my search as to if I should serve a mission. Through my answer, I found out that God was there and that he had a work for me to do.

How I live my faith

The way that I feel that I should live my faith is through my every day actions. My parents always told me to be kind and respectful to others. As I was growing up, I was often found in the responsibility to be in charge, in a sense, of the other boys of my age. I would do my best to set up activities for us to do during the year. I would do my best to invite them out to church and different youth activities. Growing up in Youth, the Boys Scout program was an important program to me and my family. Often times as a Scout, I found myself giving community service during activities and outings. My Eagle Project was for a local hospital to help patients with their wheelchairs. I enjoyed being able to be my Dad's home teaching companion for seven years since the age of twelve to nineteen. I then decided to give service to the church by serving a mission. I have nearly completed my mission in England, but I have found my different responsibilities come. The Lord does call us to fulfill assignments, but the Lord does qualify us in our weaknesses. Everyday as a missionary, I have to live my faith on the streets of England; talking to people to and helping them find the happiness and peace that I have found as a member of Christ's church.
