Hi I'm Bryan

I grew up in Idaho. I am the tenth of eleven children and I love spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a big family with five brothers, five sisters, and 25 nieces and nephews. I love to hang out with my family and to have good, clean fun with my friends. I have ran cross country and track for four years and my favorite event is the 800 meters. I love helping others and learning new things. After serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Daejeon, Korea I will go to college where I plan on studying Biochemistry. As I continue with my education I want to become a rural doctor and help those in underdeveloped countries who need medical aid.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know the truth contained within the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. By asking in faith and believing that I will receive an answer through the Holy Ghost, I am able to know that Jesus Christ is at the head of this church. President Thomas S. Monson, the modern day prophet on the earth today, is His mouthpiece and he receives divine guidance and revelation to lead and guide the church today. I know that Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ in a vision as a young boy. Through the help of God he then translated the Book of Mormon which testifies of Jesus Christ and tells of His visit to the American continent shortly after His resurrection. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it will bring anyone closer to God if they abide by its teachings. I know that Jesus Christ loves me and that he suffered in Gethsemane for my sins as well as those of all the people who have ever lived and ever will live on earth. I know through experience that we can be forgiven and saved from our sins. I know that I am saved fully through the grace of God, and I also know that I can be changed and made more pure and Christ-like through that same grace. Although I am not perfect and my sins were once as scarlet, I am now as clean as the day I was baptized. I know that as I continue to pattern my life like that of the Saviors that I can one day return to Him. I know that Christ changes lives because He has changed mine. I know that He can change yours.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by constantly striving to live the gospel principles that I have been taught and know to be true. I go to church each Sunday ready to learn of God and worship Him. By daily studying scripture recorded by ancient prophets in both the Old World and the America's I find myself coming closer to Jesus Christ. I am also so blessed to be able to receive instruction today from modern-day prophets and apostles.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon was written by many authors. All of them however wrote about and Testified of Jesus Christ and his divinity. These authors were ancient prophets who lived on the American continent between 600 B.C. and 400 A.D. It is another record of Christ's dealings with his people that is similar to, supports, and verifies the Bible. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is a loving God. He loves each of us individually and because he loves us, He has given us a way and a plan to be able to return to live with him again. God is perfect and knows everything. He knows the thoughts, feelings, and intents of our hearts. He is full of mercy and justice. He is our Literal Father in Heaven. He is the father of our spirits and we are his children. By following the Gospel of His son Jesus Christ, we can begin to develop God-like attributes as we become more like Him. Show more Show less
