Hi I'm Matt

I like long walks on the beach. I eat really healthy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy skiing and snowboarding, reading, organic gardening, and seeking all ways to be healthy. My main enjoyment is learning, especially how the world really works. I have diverse interests, illustrated by my three degrees: Psychology, Business Administration, and Computer Science.

Why I am a Mormon

Simply put, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. If the Gospel of Jesus Christ was not true, I wouldn't have bothered to put up this profile, or been a nuisance to you by giving you a Mormon.org pass-along card. The reason I'm doing this is to be valiant in the testimony of Jesus Christ and bear testimony to you reading this that: You and I are spiritual sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father. Jesus Christ is our loving spiritual brother and was the only person to live their life perfectly, and because Jesus was perfectly obedient to his Father he could save our souls if we repent (change) and follow the teachings/commandments that Jesus Christ has given us. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (known by many as the Mormons) bears the very name of Jesus Christ because it is the same church that Jesus Christ established when he walked the earth over 2000 years ago. Just like Moses in the Old Testament, we have a prophet to lead and guide us and be the mouth-piece for Christ. And just like in the New Testament where Jesus had 12 apostles, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has 12 apostles. Moreover, just like Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are baptized. When we repent, make promises with our Father in Heaven and keep those promises, and strive to be obedient to commandments (all of these actions show Heavenly Father that we truly and sincerely want to be good and want to live with our family in peace and harmony), we will indeed be able to see and be with our family forever. My best suggestion on how to get closer to your Father in Heaven is to find a place where there are no distractions, get on your knees, address your Father in Heaven with love and respect, knowing that you are his child and he loves you and say "Dear Father in Heaven. . ." and then express your sincere heart to your Father. End your prayer with "in the name of Jesus Christ, amen".

How I live my faith

I try to live by this scripture in 1 Timothy 4:12 ". . .but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity". I strive to follow what our Father in Heaven has asked us to do out of love for him, even if I find certain things that have been asked of me to be difficult or if I simply don't want to do it.
