Hi I'm Katie

I grew up in Washington, went to college in Idaho, worked in Montana, married in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up riding horses, reading books and watching TV, and I still enjoy those activities. I'm a sucker for a good story, whether it be a play, book or some old fashioned gossip. I grew up in Washington State, went to college in Idaho, and am now married and living in Utah, so I've been slowing creeping south my whole life. I figure by the time I'm 80 I'll live at cape Horn, then have to just turn around.

Why I am a Mormon

I think the main reason I am a Mormon is the peace I feel. I worry A LOT, about my family, my daughters. I worry that I'll lose them or that they will get hurt or lost in this crazy scary world. The Gospel of Christ helps me to see the bigger picture, to know that no matter what happens now, at least in the eternities I will always have my family with me, one day all pain and suffering for everyone will end and it will all be okay again. I also am a Mormon because though this Gospel I clearly feels Gods love for me. He and I both know i'm not perfect and that I try and fail A LOT, but He loves me through it, and I feel that love.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day. I try to talk to my Heavenly Father daily, tell him my needs and give him thanks. I try read my scriptures everyday so My Father can guide me. I pray with my daughters and try to help them understand that the Father loves them. My husband and I teach a class at Church called "Marriage and Family Relations" which I think has been more beneficial for me than anyone else attending.
