Hi I'm Shealeigh

I'm a proud Canadian, and ginger. I like naps, and giggling way too much, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m currently at school in Utah, though my heart will always be in Canada. I'm going to be an English teacher because you can only succeed in this life as well as you can read or write. I usually spend my time reading, laughing, dancing, and spending excessive amounts of time with family, and friends. I think I'm the funniest person I know. Someone once told me "this gospel is all about being cool, and helping folks."

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a member of the Church, and never doubted that the Church was true, however I was getting by on others' testimonies. After struggling with life's trails as a teenager I decided that I really wanted to find out if the church was true. I wanted to know how I could find that happiness that so many LDS people seem to easily have. Through much prayer, scripture reading, and fasting I have developed my own testimony. Now, I choose to be a Mormon because it is what brings me the most happiness in life. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ I now understand that being happy is a choice; that although life is hard that Christ knows how to perfectly succor, and comfort us. To honour the Atonement of our Savior I chose to be happy, His great sacrifice won't be wasted on me being unhappy. I'm a Mormon because it's through the Atonement that I've realized that trails can become scared experiences. I can't change the past years where I allowed hardships to weigh me down, but I can wake up each day happy to make up for lost time. Things change, trails arise, but the gospel in always stable.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for every chance to serve like the Savior, by praying, reading the scriptures, going to the temple, and then by listening to the Spirit's promptings. I live my faith by laughing, and listening. I live my faith by being grateful, and a friend.
