Hi I'm Gary

I grew up in Gilbert, Arizona. I play lacrosse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Gary, and I play lacrosse for my high school. I recently received a mission call to serve in Argentina. After my mission I will attend BYU where I will be majoring in Microbiology. I love my family very, very much. I have two brothers and my parents are the most loving people in the world. We all love our dog Dusty probably too much. He is a spoiled puppy. After College I hope to get married and become an anesthesiologist. I love the outdoors. If I'm not playing sports, I am probably out riding quads or going camping. I mostly just like doing anything with my family and friends whom I love very much.

Why I am a Mormon

Even if I didn't believe one word of the Mormon religion, I would still be a Mormon. The structure of the church is unlike any other faith in the world. If I were to ever move somewhere, I know that I could find friends who would truly love me and care for me no matter where I went because of the way the church is set up. I believe that Christ truly wanted his church to be a place where people could come from anywhere and be treated like a long lost friend. All of that aside, I am a Mormon because I know of the truthfulness of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints' teachings. I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times, and I know that it is a true book which Joseph Smith translated and restored to this Earth because he had the courage to go the sacred grove and ask God the Father which of the sects were true. I have followed Joseph Smith's example and prayed to know if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true, and I know that it is. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God and he receives revelation for us in this modern age. I know that families can be together forever through our Heavenly Father's plan for us, and that through Temple sealing I will be able to live with them for eternity.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through my actions every day. One of the greatest things that I can do for the people in my ward and neighborhood is just be a good example and serve everyone around me. I can serve others by helping the elderly people in my ward/neighborhood with their yard work and helping people move things. I also have the opportunity of being a home teacher. So at least once a month my dad and I go to two people in our ward's homes and just be friends with them. We talk with them about their life and make sure they are doing okay. It is a great feeling to know that I can help other people by just being a friend and doing simple, acts of service.
