Hi I'm Shaleigh

I'm from Utah. I love being outdoors and around animals. I enjoy trying to fix things, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am 15 years old. My favorite subjects in school are American History and Geography. I like music, especially the church hymns. Playing the violin and singing are some of the things I like to do after I finish my homework. I love spending time with my family and hanging out with my little sister.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe with all my heart the Gospel of Christ. I've read the Book of Mormon for myself and I can bear witness that it is another Testament of Jesus Christ. The feelings of peace and happiness that come from this Gospel aren't like anything else. I have hit some hard times in my life and I wouldn't have been able to keep going had it not been the word of God. He loves each and every one of us and will help us if we let Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by letting others know my standards and never lowering them. I don't hide what I believe and I read my scriptures daily. I do my best to fulfill my church calling and get all the young women ages 14 and 15 to the weekly activities. I'm enrolled in seminary and love my class!

Why is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Mormons or Mormonism?

The members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are sometimes known as Mormons. Mormon is not the center of our church. The term Mormonism is a nickname given to us because we have another set of scriptures called The Book of Mormon. Show more Show less
