Hi I'm Kami Cardon

I grew up in Utah. The medical field is one of my greatest passions. I love experiencing life and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family and I chose to be baptized into the church when I was eight. I love seeing the world and capturing the beautiful details of life with photography. I love being with my family, and I hope to experience raising my own some day. I enjoy anything outdoors--running, hiking, camping, sports, picnics, movies, painting, driving, laughing, etc. Anything new, different, or challenging--I want to learn all about it. It may sound intense, but I love listening to the souls and deeper meanings of life within music! One of my most enjoyable past times was competing in gymnastics for several years. The mental focus and motivation in sports can definitely be applied in many other aspects of life, including education. In college, I've been able to experience and achieve many goals I've set in life, and I have learned to enjoy the challenges that come along the way. The intensity within the medical environment fuels my ambition to contribute and increase my skills/knowledge toward something greater, and I've received much satisfaction and personal growth in return. Work hard, play hard! Much of our satisfaction and happiness in life can come from helping others, and this belief has been just one great reason why I decided to serve a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

Every individual has his/her own personal reasons for choosing to be a member of Christ's LDS church. For me, I know this gospel has helped me become the best person I can be on Earth and after. When living by His commandments and applying lessons into my daily life--I am truly happier and feel excessively blessed. I don't feel restricted or like I am missing out on anything by avoiding drugs and certain situations. I know and have experienced that with His guidance in our lives, we are given peace and mental/spiritual strength to overcome trials and challenges life brings. During my mission, my father suddenly passed away. This was one of the hardest times in my life, being away from my family and other things--but it was the greatest time that I have come to know my Savior and understand the Atonement deeper than I could ever imagine. I am grateful for that knowledge and my strengthened testimony of the Plan of Salvation, I know that he loves and understands us perfectly--more than we can comprehend. I know that families can and are meant to be eternal; we cannot afford to let "temporal" indulgences or selfishness rip our families eternally apart. With the companionship of the Holy Ghost, I have felt more clarity and simplicity in my thoughts and am able to help others at a greater capacity. After reading the Book of Mormon and witnessing its power, truthfulness, and divinity--I want to share the greatest source of joy and true happiness in my life with others.

How I live my faith

One thing that is nice about the church is there are always opportunities to serve and work with other amazing people in your community! I have had many opportunities to get to know and share the gospel with other women and people in my ward and community through visiting teaching and other callings. I've helped out with planning social gatherings so people can meet new members and visitors at church, you can't beat fun activities with free food! It does take time and work, but it is always gratifying and worth it! I love meeting new people at ward activities every week and just having the opportunity to love and serve others. Currently, I am serving a mission in Oregon and want to share the gospel to invite others to gain a personal faith in Christ and testimony of the Book of Mormon--and experience the wonderful blessings from the gospel of Jesus Christ.
