Hi I'm Jackie Bertram Adams

Adrenaline junkie. Colorado native. Life lover. And, heck yes, I’m a Mormon!

About Me

Growing up in the mountains of Colorado, made it so that I had no choice but to be an avid lover of the outdoors. Skiing, hiking, longboarding, climbing, and so much more are things I simply can't live without. I go to Brigham Young University where I love to learn and grow. I consider a day wasted if I haven't laughed and done something to get my adrenaline pumping!

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised in the church, I still had to have my own conversion process. This happened a year or two ago, and I am so grateful that it did. I read the Book of Mormon and through the Holy Ghost came to know of it’s truthfulness. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that through Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice, we can be forgiven of our sins and receive exaltation and salvation after we die. My testimony is pretty short and sweet but I know that The Church of Jesus Christ is the most correct church on the earth today. Life is hard, but I know there is no easier way to have true joy in this life, than through living the standards and commandments of the church. My life was fine before I really changed and believed in this church. But, now, my life in a hundred times better. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and that is why He gave us this church. So that we can have the knowledge to guide and protect us through this life.

How I live my faith

Every Monday night, I am in charge of planning activities for a group of 24 students I live by. This gives all of us a chance to get to know each other and spend quality time with other people of our faith. Once a month, I get the wonderful chance to visit teach. This means visiting two other women in my apartment complex. Through visiting teaching, I am able to serve these two women and help them when they are in need. But, most of all I live my faith everyday by living up to the standards I have agreed to live by. Especially at a college age, it can be hard, but it is so unbelievably worth it!
