Hi I'm Sid Pratt

I am an Arizona girl plus a daddy's girl! Love to make things interesting, I am a bit of a dare devil. Oh by the way I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona in a loving, crazy family. I am the youngest of three and have always been picked on but loved it. There is probably no other family crazier than mine. I grew up playing with dolls and dress up but grew out of that quickly and turned into a complete tom-boy. My wardrobe probably consists of 70% t-shirts. All my life I have been involved in at least one sport. In high school I played basketball and softball, receiving a couple of awards. Another thing I enjoy doing is hunting and spending my time in the out-doors, I am kind of a daddys girl. Our family loves to travel. I am currently serving in Lord in the Iowa Des Moines Mission, and never have grown so much in my life. What better work!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I've read through the Book of Mormon once (read... didn't get really anything out of it), yup that's right only once, but I will have read it for the second time when I leave for my mission, but here is the thing I know it's true. This book shows that if we put the Lord first everything else will fall into place and we will be blessed. It may seem really hard at times and I get caught up in the way of the world and I have to stop and think, "wait why am I really here right now on this earth?" I am here because of Christ and I am here to help others and not worry about myself. Its really not that hard especially if you know what you receive in the end. The Sons of Mosiah are a fantastic example of putting the Lord first. Ammon did this and when his enemies wanted to kill him the Lord delivered him every time because he put Christ first. This gospel helps lessens the burdens of life and makes it much easier. I don't know how people live without it. That's one reason that I want to serve a mission, so that I can help others and families live a less complicated, more enjoyable, and happier life. What we believe in is not outrageous its a pretty simple gospel, and the commandments that we have been given are not impossible they are clearly for our benefit. You can see that when one does not obey them their life is so much harder and complicated.

How I live my faith

Right know I am getting ready to leave on my mission but currently in my ward I have a calling, which is actually helping prepare me for my mission. For my calling I help others that have fallen away just a little bit and I try to bring them to realize what they are missing and how much easier it is to have a friend to talk to. I am an ear to others. I love helping people. I make sure that people are included at activities and try talking to others that stick to the corners of the room.
