Hi I'm Jake

I play the steel drums. I have done humanitarian service in the Dominican Republic. I have my Associates. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I played percussion all through Jr. High. Two of my favorite instruments to play are the steel drums and the drum set. I played a little lacrosse. I love music. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it feels right. I have met people who don't have the fullness the gospel brings and they don't seam genuinely happy. I know that other religions have some truth, but they contain only a portion of the whole truth which the LDS Church gives.

How I live my faith

I believe I live my faith by being an example. I know I'm not perfect, but what is important is that we try to be better. I try to always be nice and look out for others. I truly hope that I can do humanitarian work when I am older. By standing out, in a positive way, we can lead others who don't know Christ, to want to know Christ because they know us. While I was working at a power plant to earn money for my mission, I was told by quite a few people that I was different. One lady even said, "I have never met someone so sensible at this age." She was informed that it was through the teachings of the church, that I have been taught right from wrong. During the job, I was teased and I made mistakes, but everyone seamed to like me. We discussed religion, life and all sorts of things. I believe that they enjoyed me because I brought the spirit and a positive attitude where ever I went. I was nice and loving always to everyone, even on the bad days.
