Hi I'm Keith

I am a Londoner but now live in Rutland for many years I did not know the Lord Jesus Christ but now I am a Mormon.

About Me

My career has been as Water Engineer and I have travelled all around the world, now I spend most of my life teaching others. After many years, my first marriage regrettably failed. I was remarried about 6 years ago. I have two sons and my wife has two sons and a daughter. I am now a grandfather and between my wife and myself we have 11 grandchildren I love our family dearly. I spend a lot of time travelling as part of my work often staying away from home during the week. I live in a beautiful part of the UK and my passion is sailing my boat on the near by lake. I am also a Rotarian and work with my club to raise money for various charities. When I am not working I love to go to pop concerts although my musical tastes are really broad. Between work, family and my other commitments life is very busy but Sunday is the special day in my life when I get to attend church and worship other members of our branch.

Why I am a Mormon

When I decided to be baptised my life changed, I received the gift of the Holy Ghost and I know that my past mistakes were washed away. For the first time in my life I was not on my own. No longer did I need to resist the temptations of this life with out the love and support of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has given me the example and the strength to strive to the end so that I can return to my Heavenly Father and join once more with my family. The church has helped me understand the purpose of life, the plan of happiness which is there for everyone, if they want it. I am grateful to Joseph Smith for restoring the true Church to this earth and for the Book of Mormon and the truths it holds. I love my Heavenly Farther and the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I was baptised a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints 6 years ago when I was well into my fifties. In those six years my life has changed beyond recognition. The church is a "doing church" we reach out to our members and their families to help and support them in their need. For the last last two years I have been the Branch President with responsibility for the branch members spiritual health and development. As a priesthood leader I work with members to help them progress through life overcoming the many obstacles the meet on the way. As Branch President I try to ensure the families in our branch grow and reach their full potential. Being a Branch President is a calling from the Lord, I am doing his work, I love the members of my branch.
