Hi I'm Hayden

I am a massive Star Wars nerd. I love musical theater. I love to watch and play football. I love my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Hayden I am 20 I love to sing and to play football. I know those are kind of conflicting things, but they are both my loves. I love the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as far as NFL goes and Florida State and BYU for college ball. I also love watching baseball! Go Red Sox!! I still don't know what I really want to be when I grow up but we'll see if that ever happens. Before serving my mission I graduated high school and worked a ton at my families movie theatre. Currently I am serving a full time mission for the church in the New York Utica Mission and I love love love it! It has changed my life! I love to eat and play and work and just about anything. I am the baby of my family and am a "crunkle" (crazy uncle) to my two little best friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church to loving parents and have had the blessing and privilege to be a member all my life. But as many church members find there comes a point where you have to stop holding on to your parents hand and figure out if this is what you truly believe and know to be true. I've done that and have received a witness of the things I believe. I have chosen to remain a member of the church be cause I honestly know that it is the church of God. The Book of Mormon is the evidence of this truth. I know through the power of the Holy Ghost that it is the word of God. I know that through Jesus Christ's Atonement all men can be cleansed of their sins and that we can be forgiven for any transgression. I know the power of the Atonement is real and I've felt the healing balm the Savior has to offer. I know He Lives! He is my Savior and Redeemer and has prepared the way to return home. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and most important it makes me more happy than anything else in the world. I also know that the family is eternal and that families can be together forever and that that is a part of our Heavenly Fathers plan. I know that I am a son of God, and that He loves me beyond mortal comprehension. He knows my name and wants me to return home.

How I live my faith

Currently I'm serving as a missionary for the church but I love the opportunities and experiences I've had as a youth and I strive to live my faith every day through consistent prayer and scripture study. Both of those help me be the best I can be and to trust in God. I love just having conversations with people that help them appreciate the beauties of life and in everything they have. Faith in Jesus Christ changes people I know it has changed me. One of the biggest ways to live your faith to me is to not be ashamed of what you have, share it! Don't worry about what others think when you do some things and when you don't do others, its about you being on right terms with God not with the world.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely, our first article of faith states that "We believe in God the eternal Father and in his son Jesus Christ..." He is the head of our church and the chief cornerstone of our faith. The Book of Mormon testifies of him and leads all to him. Show more Show less

How can I find someone to talk with, in person, about the Mormon religion?

Somewhere near the top of the page there is usually a bright pink button that says "Chat with us." You usually can't miss it there is always missionaries out there to talk with you and help answer some questions. By clicking the "Chat with us." button you can usually be directed to a missionary in your local area. Or if you ever see two dudes in white shirts and ties walking or biking by I'd say it's a safe bet to assume they're our missionaries, and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to talk with you. Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

We believe the Bible to be the word of God as long as it is translated correctly. The Bible does so much to teach us and to help us know about Jesus Christ. We find in the New Testament the account of the Saviors earthly ministry and are able to in a sense get to know him. It's an amazing book that points us back to all the tenants of our faith.
