Hi I'm Kirsti!

I love music, nutrition, biology, hiking, and I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a girl who's moved around her whole life. I guess you could say I'm from everywhere! Some people may call me homeless... but really, I just have many homes. I come from a large family of five brothers and one sister. We're all good friends. I laugh more with them than with anyone else. I love to learn about different cultures and am a particularly big fan of trying new food from different cultures. I not only like to eat the food, but I love making it as well! Some of my favorite things to do are usually related to the outdoors or music. I enjoy just getting out and hiking, building campfires, playing badminton with my brothers, and... climbing trees :) Likewise, I enjoy singing, playing the piano, playing the ukulele and writing my own music. Life is good! I have been called to serve as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Canada Vancouver Mission. I couldn't be more excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be committed to the gospel because of the joy it brings to my life and the lives of those around me. Through hard times I've been able to see how the gospel and the church help me to make it through... but more importantly, how my Lord and Savior helps me make it through. Even in the most painful moments, when I pray and read The Book of Mormon I can feel an undeniable love and peace. In those moments I grow closer to my Savior and my Heavenly Father as I feel their love for me and it seems that my heart and my spirit can feel them telling me that it will be alright, that they're with me and that even though it may seem painful at the moment, they'll never lead me anywhere that I wouldn't be the happiest in the long run. I know that this is true and that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love everyone in this way. It changes the way I think and the things I do. Their love for me will never change, but through their love I am always changing... and always for the best. I'm a Mormon because I know they love me and I Iove them.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and am always happy to see everybody there! I try my best to live my faith by being there for everyone, trying to live and follow everything I learn in church and in the scriptures because I know it's true. I have resposibilities that I do my best to fulfill, and standards and commandments that I keep because I love my Savior. I try to follow him in all things (especially in being kind to people) because those are the things he would have me do. Our families are the #1 most important thing in the world! And I love my family like crazy. Most of how I'm able to live my faith each and every day revolves around how I treat my family. Coming from a large family, I have many opportunities to serve... and to be honest, the everyday chores are endless. I'm not able to do everything, but I try to do what I can with a good attitude and remember that loving and helping my family is most important.
