Hi I'm Pat

I am a mother and grandmother. I have a college degree and worked in a hospital. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six children and grandmother of 12 children. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has given me guidance to raise our family. I have a college degree and worked as a Medical Technologist in a hospital laboratory. I enjoy doing creative things like crocheting, knitting, and origami. Music has played an important part of my life. I enjoyed playing music on various instruments and listening to symphonies and operas and other music. I enjoy getting out in the outdoors to hike and see the beautiful scenery. I like to read books, especially the scriptures.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true and that happiness can be found in this life by following the teachings and the example of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the head of this church. Salvation comes only by and through his great atoning sacrifice. Understanding the Lord's plan for us in this life gives me direction, understanding, and great peace amid a troubled world. I feel confidence in knowing that I am literally one of God's children, that he knows me, loves me, and that he is concerned for my welfare every day. He is there to guide me and direct me. I feel blessed to be a member of Christ's church, and I am thankful that my parents taught me the correct principles of the gospel when I was a child.

How I live my faith

I am trying to follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ and His teachings in my daily living. I'm not perfect, and there is still lots of room for improvement. Christ's atonement gives me hope and strength to change. Daily prayer and scripture study are essential parts of my life. Service is an important part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I find great satisfaction and happiness in serving others. I have spent a lot of time being a Cub Scout leader. I like to volunteer at our local school to tutor children in math and reading. I help people find their ancestors by volunteering at a Family History Library. I do my best to apply the gospel principles in our home and encourage our children to do the same.
