Hi I'm Dameon Andrews

I'm a small town kid from Wyoming, outdoorsman, a classic car junky and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a small town kinda guy. Fishing, hunting or camping. In the short time that there is summer in Star Valley thats what you can find me doing. If I am not doing something outside, chances are you can find me working on my 1971 Cutlass. I have always been into classic cars and enjoy the challenge of getting them running. I've been a member of the church my whole life and have tried to live it the best I can. Though there has been times when I haven't been exactly on the the straight and narrow, those are the times that have taught me that our Savior is always there waiting to pull us back onto the path. I've been given a great wife to help me reach my full potential! I don't know where or who I'd be without her. My family has helped shape me and I wouldn't trade any one of them. I had some of the best friends a guy could ask for. We may have our arguments (Wyoming is definitely better than BYU or Boise State!!!!!) but I love them all.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to members of the LDS church. I'm very grateful for my family and their choices to join this church all those years ago. But I've stayed in this church because of the happiness I've seen it bring within my own life and the lives of those around me. It's been the anchor for my soul when things go wrong. This life can throw curve balls at us, I like something that is stable, never changing, and never leaving. That is what the gospel of Jesus Christ is for me. I love knowing my Savior lives, that he loves me enough to have gone through everything that I have, and I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that willingly sacrificed his Son for us. The knowledge that I have been given makes me so grateful for this gospel. I wouldn't change it for anything in this world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for the good in any situation. Through out high school I tried to stay involved and to be a friend to as many as possible! I was able to be a part of a Missionary Prep class that was put together by some of my friends and me! It was so great to have a friends that not only could you laugh with but also talk of things that effect us eternally. That helped me prepare so much for serving a 2 years in Scotland and Ireland. It's so great to be apart of this work. It's so true that, "Get what you give." Especially with this gospel. Since I've let it be a big part of my life I've never felt the Lord so close to me. I am currently working as an auto parts advisor at a local dealership, as well as earning a degree online. I try everyday to live a life that let's people know that I am striving to be a disciple of Christ. I try to love all those I come in contact with and respect their beliefs. I also get to be the Elders Quorum President in my ward. With the help of my beautiful wife, we go out and visit those in our ward and get to know them. I can honestly say that the high light of my week is getting to meet new people and see what we can do to help them.

Why is self-reliance important to Mormons? Why do Mormons talk about emergency preparedness?

Dameon Andrews
We never know what could happen. In a world that is constantly changing and evolving it's good to be ready for anything. If we are in a postion where we are doing well then we can better help our friends. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Dameon Andrews
So much around us can tell us there is a God if we just take the time to look! Growing up in the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming and seeing the beauty that comes from the wildlife and the surroundings just cemented for me my belief in God at an early age. I love admiring His handywork. Those clear nights when you can see the billions of stars, the bright sunny days when you go out camping with your family and you just feel like you've known them forever, and just the fact that the earth just keeps turning! These things all tell me that there is a God and that He loves us and wants us to know He's there. Show more Show less
