Hi I'm Taylor

I was born in Arcadia, served a mission in Mexico and currently volunteer as an EMT. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a newly married collage student working through Paramedic school at Utah Valley University. Although most of my current efforts are focused around work and school my true passions are devoted to God, my beautiful wife and the sport of wrestling. The first two need hardly any explanation, God is my creator and my wife is the most adorable woman I've ever met. The third great passion is one that I was introduced into my life in high school. I love the sport. I have found my way into clubs in the different universities that I have attended. I love both participating as well as coaching it. One day I hope to find myself coaching a high school team.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in addition to providing salvation, is a means of guiding my life more perfectly. Obedience to the precepts and commandments set forth by God and His Church, has made me a better person. I live the gospel not out of social pressure but because I have a true testimony that through living God's commandments I will obtain more joy and fulfillment in this life, and will have a greater eternal promise in the life to come.

How I live my faith

My wife and I are temple goers. In addition to or regular Sunday worship we frequently visit the temple were we participate in sacred ordinances. Most of the callings that i have served in in the church have been that of teaching callings. and some leadership positions. I severed a two year mission in Guadalajara, Mexico were I learned to serve, not only in a religious sense but in a real physical sense as well. I love God and know that He is my father. Christ is my Savior and I know that by living His gospel and emulating Him we are made into a new beings and can be brought, once again, into the presence of our Heavenly Father once more.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

The book of Mormon was primarily written by an ancient American prophet named Mormon, hence its name. He composed writings of other ancient prophets like Nephi, Helaman, Enos and "the brother of Jared" into one book carved into onto golden pages in order to preserve them. In 1828 (or thereabouts) a young man by the name of Joseph Smith translated these records with the help of divine inspiration and called it "The Book of Mormon" in order to help people to understand that the book was not his invention but a record originally written by someone else.
