Hi I'm Ashton

I love to travel and I love kids one of my recent trips was to Ecuador where I worked at an orphanage. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a big family and we spend a lot of time together. We love to see the world and experience different cultures. I'm a big fan of Crossfit and working out. I like to be outdoors kayaking, rock climbing, running, snowboarding, or jet-skiing. I always like to be doing. I love to learn I read a lot of books, I'm just finishing running start or college and about to graduate from high school in my home town. I'm also preparing for a mission, I'm leaving in a couple months to serve in the Morristown, New Jersey Mission. I have a dream to open an orphanage in Africa, I really want to ride an elephant while I'm there. I'm known as spontaneous I've tried just about everything and a few of the latest are jumping off the Stratosphere at 108 stories high, swimming with the sharks, doing the trapeze, feeding giraffes, and learning to surf. I can usually be caught with dark chocolate in one hand and a dumbbell in the other. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a home that supports the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and having examples at my daily disposal made it easier to grow in and learn from the gospel, but there's that day when you have to make the choice for yourself. I know that I haven't found the happiness and fulfillment that stems from attending this church anywhere else. Just to clarify in this gospel you do much more than attend church we try to become more like our Savior by becoming better people. We strive to serve those in need. We learn to love people. We strengthen and support one and other. This church is a wonderful community that sets high standards and shapes great people. I know this church is true because of how it changes lives. I know reading the Book of Mormon gives me a better understanding of life. I know that the Bible also provides basic fundamentals in history that are important to know. I know that the gospel improves the quality of lives as the individual develops more Christlike attributes. By listening to the prophet and working to apply his teachings over the past few years I know that Thomas S. Monson is the modern day Prophet that receives revelation from the Lord. I know the temple or the place where we marry and make covenants gives me the most peace and the greatest separation from worldly things. I know through all the humanitarian work that the the church is involved in shows the Saviors love of all people. He wants to give all his children the opportunity to accept to gospel. The blessings of this church are available to all people and missionaries and members are always excited to share the message, so just ask.

How I live my faith

In my ward or church community I'm called to bring together the girls and befriend them. I've learned to love each of them and we have a lot of fun together. They teach me much and make me a better person. There lives are a testimony of Christ and are truly inspiring to me in my every day life.
