Hi I'm Allyssa

I'm a student. I'm a friend and an Idaho girl. I'm a daughter of God and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have recently finished my 3rd semester of college working toward a degree in history. In high school my favorite thing to do was color guard with my friends. Part of doing color guard required me to do some dancing and that was one of the funnest things. I love dancing and being with my friends. I love swing dancing with my friends and doing all sorts of flips in the air. Dancing is something that has helped throughout the many hard times in my life and I can always look to my great friends who can show me what is fun about dancing.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my mother was raised in the church but was one of the only active members of her family and attended her church meetings. My mother and father raised me in the church and taught me what my purpose on earth was and they showed me the amazing blessings that can be received when serving the Lord. I am also a Mormon because I have discovered for myself the amazing things that this incredible church can do. I feel a peace and comfort that I can't feel anywhere else. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a daughter of a kind and loving Heavenly Father who knows me and loves me and wants what is best for me. I have been given a strength in my life that I might not have ever had if not for the Mormon church. I have been given the chance to grow and become stronger through the blessings that I have had. I am eternally thankful for those events in my life.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church by my parents. My mom has been a member of the church her whole life and if not for her, I might not be where I am now. My dad is a convert to the church and he has come a long way. Because of my parents I attended church growing up and I have gained my own testimony of this amazing church. I was taught to always do my visiting teaching and to care for those who are in need. My mom served a mission for the church when she was 21 and because of her great example I am preparing to serve my own mission for the church in July. I will be serving in Colorado and I cannot wait to help bring the sheep of the Lord back to his fold.
